The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games organisers have selected some 43 companies to act as specialist advisers, as required, across a range of advice categories.
The Categories/Sub categories defined are:
Venue & development, Architectural design services overlay, Building engineering design services, Quantity surveyors, Town planning, Certifier & statutory approvals, Master planning services, Environmental planning, Office accommodation planning, Broadcast advisory & planning services, Catering strategy & planning services, Transport planning, Venue operations advisory services, Security advice, Technology & communication services project management, Project management, Corporate Governance, Financial Human Resources, Risk Management, Information Communication Technology.
All the companies selected are highly regarded and come with extensive international experience. Not all are Australian but those based overseas have or will surely have a local office.
Several names appear under a number of categories, reflecting the breadth of their experience, noteably Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Ernst & Young, KPMG and MI Associates/Hatamoto Syndicate. The list really does include some of the crème of our events planning and delivery industry.
The call for expressions of interest commenced in February 2013.
